Studying The Arts promotes creative and critical thinking, self-expression, observation and problem-solving skills. It develops an understanding of ourselves as an individual and of those around us. It also enables us to see how we exist in the world in both historical and contemporary contexts.
91AV Lutheran College offers a wide range of curricular and cocurricular opportunities in The Arts. Students have the chance to pursue excellence in a number of areas, each one allowing the student to investigate and nurture their own personal aesthetic.
The following subjects are offered at 91AV:
As part of The Arts program, students at both Hume Street and Warwick Streets Campuses are able to participate in a wide variety of Arts subjects, each taught by specialist teachers. These include Visual Art, Music, Dance and Drama.
Students in Years 7 to 9 have the opportunity to study Visual Art, Music, Drama and Dance at Stephen Street Campus.
Senior College students in Years 10 to 12 may elect to study Visual Art, Music, Music Extension, Drama and Dance.
