Hurray for days off!
09/11/04
When you look at the schedule, you will find we have every 6th day off...or something like that. But, here's the truth...NOT!
For most everyone, a day off only means we are not on set. The shoot is so intense and so time consuming that every free moment we have is consumed with trying to catch up.
Today, Mark (DP) Wing (AD) Shawn (Locations Manager) and I (Director) ended up spending a great deal of the day figuring out where we are gonna shot the few scenes we haven't already committed to.
The latter part of the day was spent screening footage we've already shot. Okay, that part is a bit more fun, but even there, all we really wanna do is curl up in a ball and sleep.
But days off are very important. Many of the cast are coming down with colds. Aching and fevered cast take the opportunity to reboot their systems. I hope they can utilize the rest time. This is what it is for.
Regardless of how we use it, days off are important.
Hurray for days off.
