Break day
09/08/04
Today is a break day. Just in time. Many of the crew are coming down with fevers, coughs, or just good old short tempers. Who wouldn't. We've been working so hard. Everyone is doing 200% on a 24/7 schedule.
The team, through it all, has managed to stay focused and determined to achive excellence. We've been working in crazy hot conditions, humidity, rain and graveyard hours. The team is, for lack of sexy words, totally exhausted.
On the flip side, we have been taking time every few days to review rushes, and we're very happy with what we're seeing. It is a truly beautiful story unfolding. I cannot express how rewarding it is going to be for our dedicated crew and actors to finally see the end results.
Today, as scheduled, is a day off. Wow, for those who have family and loved ones, it will be like having a real life again. I hope everyone comes back healthy and recharged, and that they had a moment to realize how great a job they are doing.
