Congratulations Everyone!

Good work pays off.
There is not much more you can say after a grueling location such as Club Street. Club Street, for those of you who are not in the production, is the location where we were filming Tan's bird shop in the story. I found the location a good three years ago when I was writing the script, and it's been nothing but troublesome the entire time. But somehow, I felt attached to the beauty of it...old and neglected, yet still standing. She is a mighty wonder.
But nothing comes without a price. Consistant time-consuming traffic inturruptions, unruly drivers who would honk during dialogue...Parking issues, Power issues, Construction issues...Issues issues issues.
She took a toll on our spirit, but alas we won. We got all the scenes we needed from her exterior and we now move on to new locations. In just a few days, the mighty Club Street beauty will undergo construction. Like most older classic buildings in Singapore, it will most likely be demolished and replaced with something shiny and new. But it will be the honored few who had the opportunity to work on the set of Cages during this Club Street shoot who will be able to think back, after seeing it's grandure on film and say "I was there, I made it beautiful, I made it happen"
I promise it will be at that moment that we will all realize that good work pays off.
To believe in your future is to create your future.
Congratulations everyone. Now Club Street lives forever in the future...in celluloid...in Cages.
