Let's Make A Movie!
Well, the hour has come. Four years of preparation, 6 months of solid preproduction. Three months of production design and two months of production crew building has come to this critical day. There is no turning back. We are 12 hours from the roll of the tape, the clapping of the slate.
Everything is in place. The actors are standing by. Rehearsals are over. Sets are up. Storyboards are drawn and scripts are marked. Tomorrow our team will gather for what will be the beginning of a 40-day journey that is sure to test the endurance and character of each and every one of us.
We cannot help but feel the anxiety of the production. But for the most part, we are humbled by the sheer fact that we have gotten thus far, which in itself is nothing less than a miracle.
We are so grateful for all the individuals who have shown their belief in the project, and have made it possible by contribution both financially, and emotionally. We are so lucky to have their trust in this story. We are so fortunate to have the crew that has built this preproduction to the strength it holds today.
So, tomorrow we make a movie. I wish everyone a safe, and creatively rewarding experience. I hope the story touches them as we are shooting it. I hope the crew can take moments during the physically and mentally draining days of shoot to appreciate their own work and truly realize who much it contributes to the picture’s success and beauty.
I know every minute will take 100% of our concentration, so I just want to say in advance, Thank You all so very much. You have collectively entered a calm and orderly transition from preproduction to principle photography.
