Better Than Jude Law 07/21/04

Okay, so who could possibly be better than Jude Law?

Oh yeah… none other than Bobby! Actually Alex was the one who said that and this is how it happened…

I was in L.A. doing my internship. It was the 2nd week of my stay there and it was a Sunday morning. I woke up to the sound of the phone ringing – it was Jessie. She mumbled something I couldn’t understand because of my sleep-infused state until she mentioned the magic words: dim sum. That woke me up. I jumped out of bed and got ready in record time. Graham and Alex came and picked Christel and I up. That was the first time I met them. My first impressions of them were that they were friendly. It was kind of weird for me to hop a stranger’s car but I figured what the heck, Christel and Jessie were inside too!

I was sitting in the back seat when I came across a magazine with Jude Law on the cover page. Being me, I gasped and exclaimed “Jude Law!!!” It was a portrait shot and he had a sullen expression with pale skin (probably too much foundation) and neat hair parted to the side. Ooh. Alex heard me and turned around to ask if we liked Jude Law. We all gave a guilty smile. He continued, “Once you guys see Bobby, you’ll be like Jude Law who?”

Hmm, who’s this good-looking mysterious model that I keep hearing about?

We all arrived at the complex that housed the dim sum place. It reminded me a little of People’s Park, before it got renovated. There were so many people!! People mountain, people sea. They were all queuing up to get in, and Graham walked us in. No waiting! I felt so special… We were among the first to arrive and the table was only ¼ filled. Soon, the others arrived. Bobby was the last one and yeah… He was good looking indeed. He reminded me of the surfers who hang out at beaches (it must have been the hair).

Now after that lengthy introduction, I shall describe how Bobby is like. As weeks passed, I can describe him in one word – CHEEKY. He likes to tease, is playful and is also a very nice person! He doesn’t put on airs. He loves to “squeeze” information out of you about anyone, guys, girls – anything! And he’ll just tease you with it. He’s a fun person to hang around with, and he brought us out to shop for DVDs during our last week in L.A.. Also, he told me about how American guys are. It was quite… shall we say, informative.

Over at Graham’s home, I’ve seen Bobby’s practice painting as Ethan and I think he’s really getting into his role. It was impressive. Big and daring strokes with the paintbrush. I wish I could paint like that, or something even close to that. I can see so many good things for CAGES.

Really looking forward to a great time on CAGES.
