The Night Before

Well as you can guess, the night before is probably more stressful than the flight itself. However, excitement and nervousness has gotten the best of me at this point. Sometimes I need to pinch myself for the fact that this is really happening!!
I can remember almost two years ago when I was introduced to CAGES. From the first time I read the script, I knew this was something special. It’s not common to read something that touches you the way CAGES did for me. From the moment I left Singapore, I always thought I would come back some day. I had such fond memories of a country that in a way taught me to be a man. It was the first place I ever went that I was totally on my own, where I was the only one accountable for any right or wrong doings. That being said, I always hoped that one day I may be able to return the favor and have a chance to show others what a great country Singapore is. Well now I can say I have that chance! All because of Graham’s belief in me to portray ETHAN – the American we’d love to hate! =)
This industry that we struggle to be in has more downs than ups. There are many false hopes given to actors, directors, etc. There are many projects that never see the light of day. At times you almost feel like giving up, because when you look at the odds, you are one in tens of thousands trying to do the same thing, with only a very small percentage ever getting the chance to do what you love.
Well I can say now this is my chance.
I want to thank Graham personally for this opportunity. I have no words to express my gratitude for what I believe is a chance of a lifetime. I have learned so much over these past two years, I could never be able to put it all in a blog, so please don’t ask me to!! I have learned what true passion is, and what it takes to truly make a dream come true. These are lessons I will cherish for the rest of my life.
I want to thank Alex, our Publicist but more importantly my friend for always believing in me.
I want to thank Tania our beloved Producer for always treating me more than just an actor, but as a team member.
I want to thank John, my agent and also my friend. You have done more than most would do for their clients to get to this point. You have gone far and beyond the call of duty. I thank you for that.
I also want to thank all the other people affiliated with CAGES for their desire to bring this dream to life.
I will promise you all this, I will work as hard as humanly possible to bring ETHAN to life, but overall, to help make the best picture we can possibly make.
P.S. There are many others that have believed and contributed to this project in many ways. I.e. my family, friends and loved ones. Out of respect to their privacy, since this will most likely be posted online, I will thank them personally. They know who they are. ;)
